GPC Presents Musical ‘Grease’ Oct. 28-Nov. 6
Danny and Sandy bring their 1950s tale of summer romance, high school and rock ‘n roll to Georgia Perimeter College Clarkston Campus Oct. 28 through Nov. 6.
The Theatre Arts Guild production of “Grease” is directed and choreographed by Robert Ray. The music is directed by Susan J. McEwen and conducted by Patrick Hutchison. The musical, written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, is set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School. The production follows 10 working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of love, cars and drive-ins.
"Grease" is such a well-known and loved musical, both on stage and in film, which makes it a great choice for Theatre Arts Guild to put on stage” says Ray. “The actors and I have been able to bring all our individual personalities to the process to create something that will be uniquely Georgia Perimeter College.”
The production will be held in the Cole Auditorium, Fine Arts building on GPC Clarkston Campus. The campus is located at 555 N. Indian Creek Drive, Clarkston.
Due to mature content, the production is suggested for children 13 or older. Neither infants nor toddlers will be admitted.
Show times are 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday Oct. 28, 29, Nov. 4 and 5; 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6. Tickets are $20 ($15 for seniors 55 and over, $5 for students and free with GPC ID).
