The Georgia Perimeter College Dunwoody Playcrafters opens its fall season with Sophocles’ classic tragedy, “Oedipus the King,” Friday, Nov. 12. Adapted by GPC English professor Ted Wadley and directed by GPC theater professor Colin Rust, the tumultuous downfall of the Greek king still resonates with audiences of the 21st century. The cast includes a Greek chorus of GPC students. Sophomore Aaron Wynia portrays Oedipus in his first college production. Performances are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturdays, Nov. 12 to 20, with 3 p.m. shows Nov. 14 and Nov. 21. All performances will be in the GPC Dunwoody Campus auditorium, Building C-1100. Tickets are $10; one free with GPC ID.
