Office of the President

Ron Carruth, executive vice president for financial and administrative affairs, joined Georgia Perimeter College in 1986 and is currently the chief financial officer of the College, responsible to the College President for providing leadership and ensuring excellence in the fiscal, technological, and administrative operations of the institution. The Executive Vice President is an administrator, with primary focus upon working effectively with the President and other Vice Presidents in the development, evaluation, administration, and interpretation of College policies, procedures, guidelines, and operations. The Executive Vice President service area includes financial affairs, information technology, facilities, human resources administration, public safety and student financial aid.

As executive vice president, Ron maintains a continuing contact with local, regional, state and federal agencies, as well as business and professional organizations and educational institutions, which have an impact on the financial integrity of the college and are essential for fiscal and administrative operations. Additionally, the executive vice president assumes oversight responsibility of the college in the absence of the president. During his tenure as the executive vice president at Georgia Perimeter, his office has been responsible for over $297 million in the growth of new, renovated, and planned facilities.

Mr. Carruth holds a B.B.A. in finance and accounting from the University of West Georgia and an M.P.A. in government and public administration from Valdosta State University. He also is a graduate of the College Business Management Institute administered by SACUBO and the University of Kentucky. Prior to the executive vice president position, he served as the assistant vice president for Financial Affairs, reporting to the executive vice president, with responsibility for excellence in financial reporting, budgets and related procedures. Ron has over thirty years of service with the University System of Georgia including ten years at Costal Georgia College, where he served as the director of Business Services. During his tenure within the university system, he has served on several system-wide committees, including the Business and Facilities Advisory Committee. He is a member of Southern Association of College and University Business Officers and the National Association of College and University Business Officers.
