Wende Grass |
Wende Grass was born into a hearing family and was raised
on the East Coast. She attended Clarkston High School here in Georgia before
graduating from Redan High School in 1982. She obtained her Bachelor's
degree in Elementary Education from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in 1986
and her Master's degree in Deaf Education from Western Maryland College in
1988. In her long career as an educator for the Deaf, Wende has worked as a teacher, supervisor, and parent infant program coordinator at The Learning Center for the Deaf in Massachusetts. She also taught American Sign Language (ASL) as a community instructor at the school and at Emerson College in Boston for 14 years. Wende now makes her home in Georgia. She currently works as a lower elementary teacher at the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf and as a part-time ASL instructor at Georgia Perimeter College. |
