Bruce Finkbone  -- Full Time Instructor

 

     

Bruce Finkbone joined the full-time staff at Georgia Perimeter College in August of 1998.  However, he has been teaching part-time since his arrival in Atlanta in the early 1980's. Bruce is a long-time certified interpreter holding a CSC from RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf).  His specialty is educational interpreting.  He has presented numerous workshops and worked as a consultant for evaluating educational interpreters.

Previously, Bruce worked as an educational interpreter for the DeKalb County School system and as Interpreter Coordinator for the University of Georgia in Athens. 

Mr. Finkbone has been involved in a variety of professional organizations such as the Georgia Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (GRID), the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (RID) and the Conference of Interpreter Trainers (CIT).
