RE:             FY 2012 Student Activity Fee Budget Process

The process for awarding funds to clubs, organizations and departments is in accordance to the Student Activity Fee Financial Code policies and procedures which directly support the Board of Regents’ policy on Mandatory Student Fees (704.021).  The timeline for requesting funds for the FY 2012 College-wide and Campus Student Activity Fee Budget Hearings will occur as follows:

Budget Requestors will be notified of FY 2011 funding and recommendations by April 1, 2010.

Completing the Application:

Submit all applications and supporting documents by December 17, 2010.  Late applications will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Sessions will be provided at each campus on how to complete the request packet. Please refer to the Office of Student Life for dates, times and locations. You may attend at any campus.

Review the Guiding Principles to ensure requests are aligned with of the college’s mission statement.

Complete the SAF 2011-2012 application in its entirety.  Be specific and include as much information as possible.  Attach additional sheets of paper (if necessary) to give supporting documentation.

Complete the Student Clubs and Organizations Registration Re-Charter Application packet.  Existing clubs or organizations must complete this packet to re-charter each academic year.  Student Clubs or Organizations will not be eligible to participate in the budget process if re-charter forms are not completed.  Be sure to complete all pages including membership lists and signatures.
