GPC'S COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATION PROCESS
The Compliance Certification report will be prepared by the Compliance Certification team. Members of the Compliance Certification team are recommended by the SACS steering committee and appointed by the President. Members are selected to represent diverse constituencies on campus and to ensure direct access to information concerning the functional and operational activities of the College that must be reported in the Compliance Certification report. The Compliance Certification team will identify, collect, and evaluate information necessary to complete the Compliance Certification document and will draft the document for review and approval of the SACS Steering Committee.
GPC’s Compliance Certification will be evaluated, along with those from other two-year colleges in the Class of 2013, by an off-site committee. The results of the off-site committee's review will be conveyed to the college shortly after the committee submits its report. This will allow time for the College to address any questions that may have been raised by the review of our Compliance Certification report prior to the on-site visit by the Reaffirmation Committee.
GPC will be visited by an on-site SACS Reaffirmation Committee in the Fall of 2012. The primary purpose of this visit is to evaluate the College's Quality Enhancement Plan. However, this committee will also follow-up on any issues raised by the review of the Compliance Certification as well as reviewing the College's compliance with all federal mandates.
