Faculty Information: (new 11/9/2012)

Please be aware that Piedmont Healthcare has defined new parameters regarding clinical faculty competency.  In addition to new faculty attending New Employee Orientation and Nursing Services Orientation, clinical faculty will also be required to complete annual competencies at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital beginning in 2013. 

The Nursing Development Team at Piedmont Atlanta will maintain faculty files containing the following information:

      1.        Student Application (found on the student orientation web site)

2.       2.        New Employee Paperwork

3.       3.        Nursing Orientation Paperwork/Competency Checklists

4.       4.        Department/Unit Specific Competency Checklists

5.       5.        Annual Skills Day Competencies

 All nursing licenses will be printed and verified from the Georgia Board of Nursing site by the Nursing Development team. 

 For dates/times regarding annual skills days competencies, contact Pam Redman via this email address (Nursing.Development@piedmont.org).  Faculty will complete annual skills in the specialty area in which they are normally assigned (Cardiovascular Services, Women’s Services, Medical-Surgical, etc.).  If you are in possession of any competency checklists from orientation or unit specific training, please provide this to Pam at your convenience.   

·         Faculty/Instructor must complete the same paperwork that is required for the students, which can be found on Piedmont’s Website.
