The GPC Learning & Tutoring Center has six locations to serve you!
The Learning and Tutoring Center (LTC) provides a variety of services to meet the
diverse needs of GPC's student population. Service schedules vary by location;
please follow the links provided for more detailed information.
Tutoring is available for individuals or small groups. The LTC staff includes working professionals and graduate students with math, science or communication degrees and peer tutors with excellent math, science or communication skills. Services are FREE to all GPC students. Check our locations and tutoring schedules for service hours. It may be possible to reserve time for groups of 4 or more students studying the same subject. LTC workshops are focused, but informal opportunities for skills development. Topics are drawn from math, reading, writing and business, and vary each semester. Sessions are designed and facilitated by tutors and/or faculty with an emphasis on making learning interactive and engaging. Software Practice and
Each LTC is equipped with computers and up-to-date instructional software for skills development in math, science, communication practice in specific courses, and preparation for the COMPASS exams.
In addition to our face-to-face tutorial services, the Learning and Tutoring Center offers online assistance in math, writing, and science. To submit questions or papers electronically, visit our Online Tutoring page for more information.
Class Orientations and Tours
To promote early introduction of students to the LTC's services and resources, each LTC can arrange class orientations and tours. In addition, LTC staff members are available to visit classrooms to describe our services and distribute bookmarks with useful information. New faculty members are also encouraged to arrange a visit to learn more about resources available to supplement their classroom instruction, and to visit our Faculty Resources page to access forms and policy information.
