Georgia Perimeter College (GPC) operates and maintains physical facilities that appropriately serve the needs of the institution's educational programs, support services, and other mission-related activities. Facilities Operations and Facilities Planning and Projects work collaboratively to provide an optimum learning, teaching, and working environment in a cost effective and service-oriented manner. Strategic planning guides the departments in maintaining a sustainable, safe, accessible, efficient and aesthetically pleasing environment for the institution.
The college consists of five main campuses representing approximately 1.3 million gross square feet in 36 buildings on 280 acres. The campus locations are positioned around the greater Atlanta Metropolitan on the north and east side of the city. Leased space totaling 59,000 square feet is utilized for administrative offices that do not require customer contact.
The Facilities Planning and Projects department oversees the planning, design, renovation and construction of all GPC facilities. New furniture, signage, and major moves are also coordinated through this department.
The Facilities Operations department is charged with the care and maintenance of all GPC facilities. This includes all buildings and grounds, owned and/or leased, all physical property, campus utilities, motor vehicles, and courier and mail services.
Internal and External requests for usage of Georgia Perimeter College facilities are handled through the department of GPC Facilities Usage.
