Financial Aid for Transient Students

If you are taking classes at GPC without transferring from your current college or university, you are classified as a Transient Student.

Federal regulations prohibit students from receiving Title IV financial aid funds from more than one school during the same semester/quarter.  If you are eligible for federal aid, a consortium agreement is needed before any funds are disbursed by the home institution.  All requests for financial aid should be made at the home school (the college or university you now attend).

I'm a GPC student and I want to use HOPE to take some classes at another school.  How do I do this?
Go to the Financial Aid office of the campus that you attend and complete a HOPE certificate for Transient Study request form.

I'm a student on the HOPE scholarship at another college.  How can I use HOPE to take a few classes at GPC?
Go to the financial aid office of your current school and complete a HOPE certificate for Transient Study request form.

GPC will receive this information electronically, award and disburse funds to you, based on your eligibility and enrollment status.

Be prepared to pay for your courses and then be reimbursed, to allow time for processing.
