FEDERAL WORK-STUDY EMPLOYEE REGULATIONS

 

Federal Work-Study is a part time employment program with students working an average of 19 hours per week during the academic year.  Payment through FWS is made strictly by the hour.  Students who are absent due to illness, holidays, or other reasons are NOT paid or given credit for the time missed.  Students are not paid for time taken for meals.

Termination from the FWS Program:

Students who wish to resign from their Federal Work-Study position should inform their supervisor and the Office of Financial Aid by submitting a written statement that includes the last day they plan to work.

Students are expected to remain in their chosen job for the entire semester.  Students who wish to be reassigned to a different department the next semester must notify the Office of Financial Aid by the last day of work for the current semester.

Supervisors and the Financial Aid Office have the authority to terminate a student's employment at any time for non-compliance with the rules and regulations of the Federal Work-Study program and the Georgia Perimeter College Student Code of Conduct.
