Chemistry Exemption Exam Information

Chemistry Exemption Test to place into BIOL 1611

Beginning in the Fall semester of 2003, there will be alternative ways of satisfying the Chemistry prerequisite for BIOL 1611.

One of the ways students may prove their prior knowledge of Chemistry is to pass a standardized Chemistry Placement test.  This is a standardized test developed by the American Chemical Society which tests students on the topics we cover in CHEM 1151 here at Georgia Perimeter College.

Students MUST pre-register to take the test.  See the information sheet for more information on procedure dealing with the test.

Students may NOT take the test more than once and may NOT take the test if they have already taken CHEM 1951 or CHEM 1151. Credit will not be applied to the student's transcript for any Chemistry Course - this is an exemption exam, NOT a Credit-by-Exam test.

Registration/Appointment forms for the tests may be obtained from the Science department chairs at each campus. Students must pre-register in person at the Science Department Office on any campus.

(The forms are PDF files - you will need Adobe acrobat Reader to open them.)
