Students experiencing challenges with coursework or college-mandated tests often find that longer, scheduled sessions with a tutor can make a difference. Extended time appointments offer students scheduled 45 minute one-to-one consultationswith a tutor to work on specific writing challenges. Sessions will be scheduled one time per week, and the number of sessions scheduled will vary based on student needs. These sessions are highly recommended for students with limited academic writing experience and for those experiencing serious challenges with exit tests.
Faculty referrals are welcome, but AVAILABILITY IS LIMITED. Only students with a serious desire to work on their skills should be referred. Faculty or students may submit requests by completing and submitting the form below. They may also use the "Contact Us" link located on this website.
This supplemental service is available on a LIMITED basis. Written faculty referral may be required. Sessions are scheduled on a time and funds-available basis, so there is little flexibility in scheduling. Appointment times will typically be available Monday, Wednesday or Thursday between 10 am and 2pm. Students with approved appointments will receive a confirmation email.
Please note: Extended time sessions are NOT appropriate for essay tests or proctoring.
