Author Searching with GIL Classic@GPC
GIL Classic@GPC is the online library catalog for books and for nonprint items such as CDs and DVDs. Searching by author can help you find books and/or nonprint items by a particular person or organization.
- Click on the GIL Classic@GPC link in the left column
of the JCLRC home page.
- Choose Exact Search.
- Type in the last name of your author plus his/her first intial
and click the radio button next to Author.
- Click GO to begin your search.
- GIL Classic@GPC presents you with a list of possible author names
that are close to what you typed. Choose the author name
that most closely matches the author you want and click
on its blue print.
- GIL Classic@GPC then gives you one or more titles by
your author. Items that have Click Title or Clarkston as their
location, are likely to be in the library.
- To find a book or nonprint item's location, click on its blue title, and then scroll down to its Clarkston call number and availability information.
