Application, Audition, and Placement Tests

All music major students are required to take Theory Placement Test before registering for theory classes. The test can be scheduled and completed in  the Fine Arts Office (CF 2230). The test score will determine the appropriate Theory entry level course for entering students.

To enroll in any of the performing group such as Wind Ensemble , Chorale, or Jazz Band prospective student should contact appropriate instructor for the class to set up an appointment for the audition.

All music major student, willing to enter the major level of their voice/instrument should submit the application and successfully pass the required audition.

Joint Enrollment

GPC music faculty strongly encourages all eligible prospective students to take advantage of Joint Enrollment program, which allows students to take college classes while still attending their high school in their senior year.
