Lockers & Practice Rooms

Enrolled Fine Arts students are allowed to use lockers in CF building (downstairs) for their personal book/instrument storage. Students MUST report to Fine Arts Office (CF2230) which locker they intend to use and provide their own locks.

All locks should be removed from lockers if not used. Department of Fine Arts reserves right to remove any unreported locks from lockers at any time. GPC is not responsible for any damage or loss of valuables from any of the lockers.

Practice rooms are available (CF building downstairs) on a first come, first serve basis.

To obtain the key for a particular practice room, the student should check-in at the Fine Arts Office (CF 2230) in person and leave a Valid Driver's License as a security deposit for all the time of practice until the key is returned.

Concert Attendance

As stated in the Georgia Perimeter College Catalog's description of this course, if you are currently enrolled in any music theory coursework for credit (including Ear Training), you must take MUSC 1607-100 as a co-requisite. To satisfactorily complete the requirements for this course in the fall term, you must attend at least ten approved concerts during the current term. Of these, at least six concerts must be events sponsored by Georgia Perimeter College's Department of Fine Arts; all ten events may be from on-campus Department of Fine Arts sponsored concerts if you wish. You may only include one concert that you perform in for 1607 credit per term. All local concerts that are approved for 1607 concert credit are listed on the display board in front of the Fine Arts Office (CF 2230). Only musical performances from these listings are acceptable.

For your attendance at any Georgia Perimeter College-sponsored concerts to be recorded, you must follow this procedure:

1) Before the concert begins, swipe your student ID in the card reader outside the auditorium.

2) Pick up a program of the event.

3) You must attend the entire event for course credit.

4) Upon leaving the concert, swipe your student ID card again to record your attendance.

5) In the event there is a malfunction with the card system, sign your name on the program and turn it in to the Fine Arts office (or to the course instructor if attendance is required for another course) the morning after the event for MUSC 1607 credit.  Concert credit will not be given for programs that are over one week past the performance date.

6) For off campus concerts, on the morning immediately following the concert, or on a Monday if the concert was on the weekend, turn in a concert program and ticket stub, with your name on each, to the Fine Arts office, room CF 2230.  If neither was issued at the performance, leave a note to that effect with your name on it in the mailbox of Prof. Prudchenko, course director.
