McClary, Michael

MICHAEL MCCLARY  hails from Bowling Green, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois. He holds a BME is from Bowling Geen State University, MM in Trumpet Performance and Physics  from Northwestern University in Chicago, with further studies at the University of North Texas and Yale University. 

McClary has served as Principal Trumpet with the Chicago Chamber Orchestra, the Green Bay Symphony, the Augusta Symphony, Opera, and Ballet orchestras, the Savannah Symphony, and has played extra with the Chicago Symphony (Ravinia), Dallas and Fort Worth Symphonies. Major teachers include:  Georgia Novak (Bowling Gree State Univrsity), Vincent Cichowicz and William Scarlet (Chicago Symphony), John Haynie and Leonard Candelaria (University of North Texas), and Robert Nagel (Yale Univertsity. 

Currently McClary is in his thirty sixth year as music professor, teaching  various music courses at Georgia Perimeter College.
