ADAM FRANK earned a Master of Arts degree in guitar performance with a
minor in music composition from Marshall University in 2002. At Marshall, he
studied classical guitar under Leo Welch.
Frank currently teaches at Georgia Perimeter College and the University of
West Georgia. He has also been teaching privately in Atlanta, GA since
2003. He studied classical guitar at East Carolina University under Elliot
Frank, and attended and performed at Elliot’s ECU Summer Workshop in 1999
and 2001. Frank attended guitar master classes by Andrew York in 1997, John
Paris in 1997, and John Holmquist in 1996.
Frank has performed classical solo guitar at different events through Axtell
Productions, Inc., an entertainment agency in Atlanta, GA. In 2003, he was
employed as a guitarist at a restaurant in Duluth, GA called the Cedar Creek
Grill. Additional performance experience includes solo and small group
ensemble performances with members of the Marshall University Guitar
Ensemble. He also performed community solo performances while a student at
Marshall University and East Carolina University.
In 2002, Frank judged performances by high school string players (violin,
cello, and guitar) for Marshall University Scores Competition.
Frank has been a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC)
since 2008, and has entered his students in the 2009, 2010, 2011 National
Federation of Music Clubs Junior Festivals.
