The mission of the Division of Arts and Humanities is to transform the lives of students to thrive in a global society by providing them with outstanding instruction, excellent facilities and technology, and opportunities within a diverse liberal arts environment. We enable students to achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals by developing their creative, communicative, philosophical, and collaborative knowledge and practice. Our students, staff, and faculty strengthen the arts and humanities as a mechanism for expanding the economic, social, and cultural vitality within our communities. Each year, The Clarkston Department of Arts and Humanities offers a multitude of courses, along with professional, student, and community exhibitions, lectures, and performances. Art Students and Faculty restoring Ancient Paths in Skopleos, Greece as part of a study abroad service learning project. As well as restoring the paths, Art classes are drawing the different flora and fauna to be made into trail head and identification markers.
