Dear Friends and Supporters,
As Music Director and Conductor, it gives me great pleasure to present you the 2010-11 season of the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra. Each concert is an adventure exploring masterpieces of symphonic literature ranging from classical to modern times. We also feature an impressive roster of guest artists to dazzle you by their virtuosity.
As one of Atlanta’s most established and active community orchestras, the DSO is now entering its 45th season. Its members are dedicated players who work in a wide range of professions; they choose to make music a significant part of their lives and to share it with others.
We are fortunate to be in residence at Georgia Perimeter College’s Clarkston Campus, performing in the 500-seat Marvin Cole Auditorium, housed in the Fine Arts Building – a comfortable setting where you can clearly see the performers and hear the music from any seat. Afterwards, you are always welcome to meet the performers and soloists.
The DSO is gratified that our subscription sales and audience attendance continue to increase. You, as well as your family and friends, are invited to join us to experience thrilling music making. I am grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to seeing you at our performances!
