General Questions

  • 1. How do I log onto the wireless network on campus?

      To log onto the wireless network, simply start by opening a web browser. The Clean Access Agent Authentication page will then come up. Enter in your GPC username and password. You will need to select user as "GPC Student."   Due to security, the NAC (Network Access Control) will only allow one user to be logged in at a time with your user name and password. Therefore, if you are using your laptop and a mobile device, you can only login to one wireless device at a time.    If you are using your laptop and you are logged into another device or laptop  you will receive the message that says, "too many users using this accout".

  • 2. How can I be assisted with my Student Information System (SIS) account?

      If you are an Enrolled Student that is requesting your GPC password, have locked your account or need to have it reset, you should to contact the service desk or visit the GetMyLogin page.

      The Academic and Financial records ( Financial Aid, Registration or Grades) are on a high security server and the people at the Enrollment & Registration Services (ERS) office on the various campuses will be able to help you with Registration issues. They can be reached at 404-631-6585.

      Advising, Counseling, & Retention Services (ACRS) and Financial Aid can also be reached at that number.

  • 3. What are the different passwords for at GPC?
      GPC password: Used for logging into Email, iCollege, SIS, Campus Wi-Fi, PC’s in the labs or the LRC --  To change your GPC password, please go to GetMyLogin fill out the required information and click on the "set password", "change password" or "forgot password" link. (SEE BELOW on Password Criteria*).

      *Password Criteria

      If you want to change your GPC password, here are the criteria that qualifies as a secure strong password; it must contain at least 8 characters or more and be at least 3 of the following 4 choices:

      1. Uppercase letters

      2. lowercase letters

      3. Special characters like *&%$#@)(?=

      4. Numbers

  • 4. Can I get the JagSPOT Computer Labs information?
      The JagSPOT Computer Labs are a great place to find quiet time to work on your computer-related course work. The Lab Assistants on each campus can help you reset your password to access the network on GPC campuses and help with minor laptop connectivity problems . To find out more information, click here.   • 8. How do I print wirelessly from my laptop?

      Please visit the link provided here to download the Student Print Management System software and drivers.

  • 9. How can I get more information about JCard?
      Please visit the JCard page here. On their page, you will find information such as how to check your balance, make deposits, and report a lost/stolen card.
  • 10. How can I request my transcript?
      You can request your transcript by logging into SIS. If you are a former student who does not have an active GPC account, then please try logging in with your GPC-ID as the username and 6-digit date of birth (MMDDYY) as the password. If that does not work, then please visit the Transcript Request page for more options. On that page, you will find information on how to request your transcript by mail or fax. You can also try filling out the GPC Help Form to see if you can get a faster response.

iCollege Questions

  • 1. New to iCollege?

      Please take the time to take the iCollege online orientation. Your instructor just wants to make sure you know how to use iCollege already so they are not spending class time showing you how to use it. You will also need to configure your browser for iCollege, to do this click here!

  • 2.How do I obtain my user name and password for iCollege, Webmail, and login for the labs?

      Students can visit the GetMyLogin page to access their passwords for Lab access, iCollege and Email by filling out their credentials:  last name, last four digits of their SSN (social security number), GPC-ID, Date of Birth and agreeing to terms and conditions.  The GPC password also works as the login for the GPC WiFi network.

  • 3.What does the GetMyLogin page result mean?

      The GetMyLogin page has the GPC username, GPC email address, and a link to reset the GPC password (that is is the password used for Email, iCollege, campus computers, as well as WiFi on campus).

  • 4: How do I change my iCollege password?

      Your iCollege password is now your GPC password. They have all been streamlined now into one password for convenience and ease of use. You change that on the GetMyLogin page.

Webmail Questions

  • 1. How do I obtain my user name and password for Webmail, iCollege and login for the labs?
      Students can visit theGetMyLogin page to access their passwords for Web, iCollege and Email by filling out their credentials:  last name, last four digits of their SSN (social security number), GPC-ID, Date of Birth, and agreeing to terms and conditions.  The "initial GPC web password" also works as the login for the GPC WiFi network. 
  • 2. What information is on the GetMyLogin page?
      The GetMyLogin page has the GPC username, GPC email address, and a link to reset the GPC password (that is is the password used for Email, iCollege, campus computers, as well as WiFi on campus).
  • 3. How do I change my Webmail password?
      You change your Webmail password on the GetMyLogin page. Webmail and iCollege passwords are the same linked password now.
  • 4. How do I access my Student Webmail account?
      By visiting the Webmail login page, (Quick Links drop down menu on the GPC home page, then click on Webmail) you can access your GPC email. Once at the "GPC Webmail Starting Point" choose Student Webmail System then on the Windows live page, enter your full student email address (ex: doej@student.gpc.edu)and your GPC password.   • 5. Is the "hotmail" login page the correct way to login to GPC Webmail?
  • 6. Why am I unable to access my GPC email even though I have registered and paid for my tuition?
      Even though you have paid for your tuition and registered, you will have to wait until classes begin as indicated on your student schedule.
  • 7. When I attempt to change my webmail password it won't work. Why?
      All passwords for GPC webmail and GPC systems must meet three out of the four criteria below:
      1. Must be at least eight characters long.
      2. Must have a number
      3. Must have a UPPER CASE letter
      4. A special character (@,#,$,%,^,&...)
      IT MUST NOT contain any part of your user name, your first name,  last name, any common words , and common  names.
  • 8. How much storage space do I have?
      Students have 10GB of storage space for their email account.
  • 9. What is the maximum message size I can send?
      The maximum message size is 20MB which includes attachments.
  • 10. What web browsers are supported for use with Webmail?
      Webmail can be accessed using the following: Windows users: Internet Explorer or Firefox. You will have more features available when you use Internet Explorer. Mac users: Safari and Firefox
  • 11. Can I set up Outlook 2007 to check my mail?
      Yes. Log into Webmail, choose the Options button in the upper right corner. On the next page, on the right-hand side, click on the link that says, "Connect Outlook to this account". There you will find instructions on how to set that up.
  • 12. Can I check my GPC email from a mobile device?
      Yes. Log into Webmail, choose the Options button in the upper right corner. On the next page, on the right-hand side, click on the link that says, "Learn how to get Direct Push e-mail on your mobile phone". There you will find instructions on how to set that up.
  • 13. How do I turn of the junk mail filtering in Webmail?
