How do I qualify for the WIA funds?
Visit your local Career Resource Center and meet with a Career Adviser.
As part of the process, you will be required to take two-hour assessment test on basic skills (e.g. math, comprehension).
Once you complete this test, you will work with your assigned Career Adviser who will help you with the qualification process.
How am I eligible for WIA funds?
Eligibility requirements for training services are somewhat different in each area, based on local workforce needs and
conditions and the policies developed to meet those needs. Job seekers can browse occupational skills training programs
approved for WIA Individual Training Account funding online, but must work with a Career Adviser to determine potential
eligibility for funding. For more information on this program, visit the
Georgia Department of Labor for more information.
Who
decides how I attain WIA funding?

Your Career Adviser will be the best contact to understand how the process works and who ultimately will approve the WIA funding.
What process do I need to follow in order attain the funds?
Start with scheduling an appointment with your local Career Resource Center. Once you have a Career Adviser assigned,
they will walk you through the process.

of the class will be a minimum of 40 hours.
When do classes begin and what time are they held?
Instructor-led classes will be held the first two weeks of each month, depending on holidays
