Beyond the Dream

Georgia Perimeter College is pleased to present “Beyond the Dream 2011 - Become Great: Serve” in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King once said, "Everyone can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You don't have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don't have to know Einstein's theory of relativity to serve. You don't have to know the second law of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love." In this spirit, GPC is offering two weeks of activities that celebrate Dr. King's legacy through service and social action. The events kick-off with the MLK Day of Service on January 16 and conclude with a reflection celebration on January 27. Take a look at the schedule of events and Day of Service activities to find a way to get involved!

The MLK Day of Service is funded in part by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency that strengthens communities through service.
