From this point on, you will use your patron barcode (900#), PIN, and last name to log into any of the GIL Libraries catalogs. The PIN is not required to log into GPC electronic resources from off-campus. For that, please see these instructions.
How can I get my PIN?
- You will see a "Get My PIN" link the first time you try to log into your account in GIL@GPC.
- Enter your Patron Barcode (i.e. GPC-ID or 900#) and your last name, then click on the "Get My Pin" link.
- A temporary PIN will then be emailed to the email address that we have on file for you.
- When you receive it, log into your library account and click on the "Change PIN" button directly under your name & address in your patron account. Your PIN must be 5 to 12 alphanumeric characters and contain no special characters (like $, @, or _).
(If you're using Internet Explorer to change your PIN the browser may hang up for a minute or so while completing the process, but your PIN will change. Firefox users will not experience this delay.)
Certainly! We have some great videos that will do just that. You just need to have a .wmv player, like Windows Media Player or RealPlayer, installed on your computer.

Help! I'm a student, but I've never used GPC Webmail and I'm not sure how to set it up!
Not to worry! GPC OIT has a handy little instruction sheet just for students using Webmail. It's a .pdf, so make sure you have a .pdf viewer, ilke Adobe Reader.
Is there a PIN FAQ?
Why, yes, there is! Please see the official GIL Patron PIN FAQ for other frequently asked questions about GIL PINs.
