Access E-resources from Off-Campus

*** These instructions apply only to off-campus access for Perimeter College libraries electronic resources. To access GALILEO resources, go to the GALILEO homepage and enter the current semester's GALILEO password. ***

*** You do not need a PIN to access electronic resources. The PIN is only for accessing your library account through a GIL Library catalog. ***

When you are on one of our campuses, simply click on the link of the resource you wish to access and you will be recognized by IP address. The resource will open without your having to provide any form of authentication.

Off-campus access to Perimeter College libraries electronic resources is also available to currently enrolled students, currently employed faculty and staff, and retirees who have active Perimeter College email accounts.

To access the electronic resources from a location other than a Perimeter College campus (such as your home, a public library, etc.), please make sure that your browser has cookies enabled and that you are running the most current version of Java. Then visit the list of our databases on the Perimeter College libraries website or in GALILEO, or find the resource you want to access in GIL-Find@GPC or GIL-Find UC. Click on the link to the resource that you wish to access. (If you are entering through GALILEO, from off-campus, you will first be prompted for the GALILEO password, which changes three times a year (in January, May, and August). Read the instructions on how to Get the GALILEO password.)

If this is the first time you're accessing a Perimeter College libraries resource during your current web session, you will see the following screen where you will be prompted to log in using your Perimeter College username and password.

For students, the Perimeter College username and password are the same ones you use for iCollege. For faculty/staff, it will be the same username and password you use for webmail.

If you have forgotten your Perimeter College username and password, you can retrieve the information via the forms on the Get My Login page. If you have any problems with this form, please contact the Perimeter College Service Desk for assistance.

After logging in using this form, you will have access to any of Perimeter College's electronic resources for the duration of your web session. Depending upon how your browser is set to retain cookies, you may find that you have to log in again after closing all browser windows.

Still have questions? See the Logon Credentials for Library Electronic Resources table for a breakdown of the different logon credentials and their uses or email a librarian.
