  • ABC-CLIO Ebooks
    GPC’s collection includes the ebook versions of The Martin Luther King, Jr. Encyclopedia, Politics and Society in Ancient Greece, the Race Relations in the United States series, and Significant Gestures: A History of American Sign Language.

  • American History in Video
    Provides a large and rich collection of video available for the study of American history, with 2,000 hours and more than 5,000 titles on completion. The collection allows students and researchers to analyze historical events, and their presentation over time, through commercial and governmental newsreels, archival footage, public affairs footage, and important documentaries.

  • Ancient and Medieval History Online
    Provides thousands of entries covering prehistory through the 1500s in ancient Egypt, ancient Mesopotamia, ancient Greece, ancient Rome, ancient and medieval Africa, medieval Europe, the Americas, and ancient and medieval Asia.

    A digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes.

  • Atlanta Constitution (1868 - 1945 : ProQuest Historical Newspapers)
    Access full-text and full-image articles for the Atlanta Constitution from 1868 to 1945. For most titles, the collection includes digital reproductions of every page from every issue--cover to cover--in downloadable PDF files.

  • Bloom's Literary Reference Online
    Features content from Facts On File's extensive print literature collection, hundreds of Harold Bloom's essays examining the lives and works of great writers throughout history and the world, and thousands of critical articles published by noted scholars under the Bloom's Literary Criticism imprint. Also contains an archive of more than 46,000 characters; extensive entries on literary topics, themes, movements, genres, and authors; almost 170 video segments; and more.

  • The Chronicle of Higher Education Online
    News, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators. The Chronicle’s web site contains the complete contents of the latest weekday issue, featuring daily news and advice columns; thousands of current job listings; articles published since September 1989; vibrant discussion forums; and career-building tools such as online CV management, salary databases, and more.

  • CINAHL Plus with Full Text
    The world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals. CINAHL Plus with Full Text provides full text for more than 560 journals indexed in CINAHL 400 of these journals have cover-to-cover indexing in CINAHL, and of those, more than 230 are not available with full text from any other EBSCO database.

  • CQ Electronic Library
    Access full text information on current social and political issues. (GPC's subscription to CQ Electronic Library includes access to CQ Global Researcher, CQ Researcher Online, and Washington Information Directory.)

  • ebrary College Complete
    GPC’s ebrary subscription offers simultaneous, multi-user access to more than 25,000 ebook titles in the Social Sciences, Humanities, and Sciences. Patrons can interact with the ebooks using personalized bookshelves that automatically archive highlights, notes, and bookmarks. E-books can be downloaded from this collection, using free Adobe Digital Editions software. Requires logging in using GPC username and password.

  • Encyclopaedia Britannica Online
    The Encyclopaedia Britannica database includes thousands of articles from the printed Encyclopaedia Britannica, including thousands more that are not found in the print set. The resource also includes year-in-review articles from recent yearbooks, The Britannica Student Encyclopedia, and Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus.

  • Film & Television Literature Index with Full Text
    Subject coverage includes film & television theory, preservation & restoration, writing, production, cinematography, technical aspects, and reviews. The database provides cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for 350 publications (and selected coverage of nearly 300), as well as full text for more than 100 journals and nearly 100 books.

  • Gale Virtual Reference Library
    A collection of print reference titles in e-book format, fully cross-searchable with GPC’s other Gale database subscriptions. (Our GVRL collection currently includes all the volumes in the For Students series in addition to other reference works in the subjects of history, the environment, religion, etc.)

  • GALILEO
    A collection of bibliographic and full text databases and Internet resources in a variety of subjects provided by the University System of Georgia. Many GALILEO databases contain full text articles. Use Find It @ GALILEO to determine if a particular journal is available in full text in GALILEO. Search GIL@GPC to see if GPC owns journals and newspapers lacking online full text. Articles not available in full text or at a GPC library may be requested through Interlibrary Loan.   • Literature Resource Center
    Access biographies, bibliographies, and critical analysis of more 120,000 authors from every age and literary discipline.

  • Magill's Medical Guide
    Magill's Medical Guide provides general readers with a compendium of medical information suitable for student research as well as general readers, including patients and caregivers.

  • Modern World History Online
    Thousands of fully hyperlinked subject entries, biographies, images, maps and charts, primary source documents, and timeline entries, that cover the full scope of world history from the mid-15th century to the present.

  • New York Times (1851 - 2007 : ProQuest Historical Newspapers)
    Access full-text and full-image articles for the New York Times from 1851 to 2007. For most titles, the collection includes digital reproductions of every page from every issue--cover to cover--in downloadable PDF files.

  • Oxford African American Studies Center
    Provides more than 7,500 articles by top scholars in the field, with new and updated content added on a regular basis. Users can choose to view biographies, subject entries, primary sources, images, maps, or charts and tables when searching or browsing.

  • Project MUSE
    Full text access to nearly 250 journal titles from 40 scholarly publishers covering fields such as literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, economics, and many others.

  • Salem History
    Salem History is an online database that includes the complete content of selected printed Salem Press reference sets. GPC's collection includes the Decades series, the Great Events from History series, the Great Lives from History series, and Milestone Documents in African American History.

  • Salem Literature
    Salem Literature is an online database that includes the complete content of selected printed Salem Press literature sets. GPC's collection includes titles from the Critical Insights: Authors and Critical Insights: Works series.

  • Salem Science
    Salem Science is an online database that includes the complete content of selected printed Salem Press science sets. GPC's collection includes titles from the Encyclopedia of Environmental Issues and Encyclopedia of Global Resources.
