Wimba Classroom and Wimba Voice

Wimba Classroom and Wimba Voice are Blackboard products integrated into iCollege. They can be used to add web conferencing and voice discussions to iCollege classes. Wimba Classroom, in particular, is a nice way to conduct real-time lectures via iCollege. Wimba Classroom can also allow desktop sharing between instructors and students.

Faculty Information

Faculty can add Wimba Classroom and Wimba Voice to any iCollege class using the External Learning Tool feature at any point during the class creation process.

A quick guide for adding Wimba Classroom and Wimba Voice to an iCollege class is available online.

Faculty will need to run the Wimba Classroom and Wimba Voice wizards to ensure that they have appropriate versions of Java installed. While iCollege (except for the Equation Editor) does not require Java this integration does. The wizard will also assist with identifying audio issues.
