Thank you
for joining us at the 46th Annual Two-Year College English Association
Conference, hosted by Georgia Perimeter College and TYCA-GA, in Decatur,
Georgia.
The
conference was held March 3-5, 2011, at the renovated
Holiday Inn Conference Center in historic Decatur, Georgia.
|
The keynote speaker was acclaimed writer, Terry Kay. As a
2006 inductee into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame, Kay has
been a sports writer and film/theater reviewer (Atlanta
Journal-Constitution), a public relations executive, and
a corporate officer. He is the author of ten published
novels, including The Book of Marie, To Dance with the
White Dog, The Valley of Light, and Taking Lottie
Home.
This year's focus was "English at the Crossroads: Redefining
our Role in Higher Education." We addressed teaching
and cultural skills for reaching today's students.
We would like to thank the conference planning
committee, presenters, exhibitors, and participants for
making this conference a success!
